The first round of this years draft was full of some surprises just like every draft seems to be. Some teams hit with their picks, while some not so much. Nonetheless, here is my analysis for each pick of the first round.
Barring any injury setbacks or an outright collapse, the Chicago Cubs should win the NL Central once again. Those pesky Cardinals will probably hang around and may challenge for the win but I think the Cubs hold on. NL Central Chicago Cubs 94-68St Louis Cardinals 90-72
The Nationals once again are projected to win the East, and are also potential World Series contenders, but my big surprise pick to win a division comes out of the East.
The defending World Series Champions might get challenged for a little while this season, but I think the Astros eventually run away with the division. AL West Houston Astros 98-64
